World War II era-Paper Money 2×4″ that says The Japanese Government, Ten Pesos?

We inherited a collection of bills from the WWII era , does anyone know what these bills were for?Some are 2 6/8″ X6 1/4″. Why would they be in english, but say Japanese Govt, then partly in spanish?
Wow! That’s so interesting.I’ve also got Marks, Francs, Lire, Krona?Anyone know of a website or book on history of these?

These bills were issued by the Japanese occupation of the Philippine Islands, Dec 1941 to early 1945, when MacArthur led the US troops back in the liberation. The bills were generally referred to as Mickey Mouse money, at least by the troops. My uncle brought back a batch of samples, and I played with it until it fell apart.
