Bulging disc – patterns of the condition as aging takes over

A bulging disc is graphically revealed during a MRI Scan performed on the spinal discs. What are spinal discs? Spinal discs are the soft and cushiony symmetric structures that are accommodated in between the spinal bones and the vertebrae. In the instance of these being damaged or unequal pressure applied on the discs, they tend to protrude out, outside their normal perimeter, and cause extricating pain in the area. Symptoms

A serious and painful condition in itself, a bulging disc can become even more frustrating a concern, because most physicians can prescribe only painkillers for treating it and nothing that can actually combat the problem for good. Your doctor might also include healing techniques like sufficient rest, exercise and heat pad applications to top up the medications for an effective treatment.

In most cases, time acts as the best healer for easing out the pain, leaving aside a few very complicated instances, when surgery becomes mandatory.

bulging disc

But to avoid such occurrences reappearing in the future, you need to be careful about protecting your spine/back while lifting heavy objects, be regular with your exercise regimen, use a good posture and sustain a healthy weight too.
